The District Six Museum in Cape Town

The District Six was a neighborhood in Cape Town that, during the 1950's, was a vibrant inter-racial community. The South African government forced everyone to move out of this area...making Black people, Coloureds, Indians, and Whites move to their designated areas. Once everyone was out, the government then came in with bulldozers and tore the entire place down. This museum captures the eclectic lives of the people before the government interfered.
